The Society’s annual conference is going to be held on Monday July 8 with a half day format to encourage broader participation and media coverage.

The format will also allow us to secure a select group of high calibre speakers and we are pleased to announce that Mr Paul Fletcher, MP, will be addressing the conference on: “Deregulation key to lifting services sector”
Paul Fletcher was first elected to the Federal Parliament as the Member for Bradfield at a by-election in December 2009 and was subsequently re-elected with an increased majority in August 2010.
Paul serves on the Joint Select Committee on the National Broadband Network; the House of Representatives Infrastructure and Communications Committee; and the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services.
Paul is a well-known figure in communications policy in Australia and recently wrote a highly regarded book on broadband and telecommunications, Wired Brown Land.
Paul previously worked as Senior Advisor, and then Chief of Staff to the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Richard Alston, during the Howard Government
